I was going to post that during Senator Zell Miller's speech last night at the GOPConvention dot COM, he misquoted a poem by Father Denis Edward O'Brien, USMC A Guadalcanal Veteran of WWII, 11th Marines, and the Chaplain for the 1st Marine Division Association (the It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech quote). However, I have found multiple versions of the poem such as the one from SID-SS dot NET. I then discovered there are multiple versions of the poem, some attributed to Charles M. Province, Founder and President of The George S. Patton, Jr. Historical Society (PattonHQ dot COM) who appears to be the true author.
I thought this was going somewhere but instead it seemed to be a waste of time instead of an underhanded way of picking apart Senator Miller.
